Alkagesta said it took part in the second Annual Central Asia Oil & Gas Forum in Tashkent on 15 and 16 October, represented by its CIS Regional Trader, Javid Guliyev. In its account of the event, the company described a two-day gathering of energy executives, policymakers and investors focused on changes affecting the region’s energy markets, including logistics, regulation and Central Asia’s contribution to global energy security.

The company identified regional energy cooperation and supply-chain efficiency as the central themes of the 2026 programme. Discussions covered oil and gas resources and production planning, alongside cross-border trade routes and the infrastructure needed to support logistics. The agenda also extended to refining capacity and access to markets, placing the movement and processing of energy supplies alongside questions about regional production. These were presented as forum topics rather than announcements of individual projects or trading arrangements.

Investment, risk management and the development of partnerships between public authorities and private businesses across Central Asia also featured in the programme, according to Alkagesta. The company framed the forum as an opportunity to discuss both commercial prospects and the challenges accompanying the region’s changing energy sector. Its account linked those changes to the reshaping of trade corridors and Central Asia’s increasing involvement in international supply chains, without detailing particular routes, infrastructure proposals or investment commitments.

For Alkagesta, attendance underscored the place of Central Asia within its wider regional business. The company said it maintains an active presence in CIS markets and operates a petroleum-products trading platform reaching approximately 48 countries. It presented Guliyev’s participation as reflecting that strategic interest, rather than reporting a new transaction or expansion. The statement did not disclose agreements signed at the forum, changes to trading volumes or specific operational decisions arising from the discussions.
