Alkagesta says it has completed its first truck-to-vessel marine fuel delivery in Constanța, Romania, supplying 50.164 metric tonnes of marine gasoil from two trucks on 2 October 2026. In a company announcement, Alkagesta presented the operation as an addition to its distribution capabilities in Romania and the wider Black Sea energy market.
The delivery introduces truck-to-vessel supply to the company’s Romanian operations. Alkagesta said Romania had become increasingly important to its regional petroleum products and biofuels business during 2026. The announcement places the Constanța delivery within a broader expansion of the company’s European energy activities, alongside developments in aviation fuel, crude oil and sustainable fuels.
Earlier in 2026, according to Alkagesta, the company gained access to the NATO Central Europe Pipeline System and began delivering Jet A1 to the European aviation market. It said those deliveries started amid severe supply pressure in the sector, with greater military use of the pipeline complicating civilian fuel distribution. The company also reported completing its first crude oil transactions during the period, including delivery of approximately 1.07 million barrels to the Far East, for which it handled the process from start to finish.
In biofuels, Alkagesta said it had agreed a multi-year storage arrangement at Pantank in Antwerp and a five-year offtake agreement for used cooking oil feedstock. The company described these agreements as strengthening its involvement in the European biofuels supply chain. They form another part of the commercial expansion outlined alongside the Romanian marine gasoil delivery.
Outside Europe, Alkagesta reported that its Singapore hub reached monthly marine fuel trading volumes of approximately 250,000 metric tonnes during its first full year of operation. The announcement also referred to its fertiliser desk, which it said was operating against a backdrop of substantial supply-chain disruption and food-security pressures in global agricultural markets.
